Comparing Devices

For comparing the performance of Android devices see the Passmark overall numbers from the site

http://www.androidbenchmark.net/passmark_chart.html

and for comparing the CPU performance (speed) of Android devices look at

http://www.androidbenchmark.net/cpumark_chart.html

If you already have a phone and want to find out how fast it is, download the Passmark application from Google Play and test your phone.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.passmark.pt_mobile

This benchmark runs a set of standard tests on devices and then rates them, so if the CPU Mark on a device is double that of another device, it means that the device is 2x faster. These benchmarks can be used to compare devices from different manufacturers, with different types of CPU's and GPU's.
