How To Customize Sender Name and the Email Address of your Outgoing Email

Zenoti sends emails such as appointment confirmation or birthday greetings from noreply@zenoti.com, with the sender name showing as Zenoti. However, customer using Zenoti Enterprise version can customize  the outgoing email address as well as the sender name for their entire organization as well as specific centers.

Customizing the Sender Name

You can change the sender name for the entire organization as well as for specific centers. The sender name set up at the organization level applies to all the centers within the organization. However, you can configure different sender names for individual centers.

To change the sender name for the entire organization

  1. Make sure you are at the organization level.
  2. On the Admin Dashboard, click Organization > Organizations.
  3. On the Edit Organization window, click the Settings tab.
  4. Under Settings, click the General tab.
  5. In the Email Sender Name box, enter the sender name that you want your emails from your organization to show.

To change the sender name for a center

  1. On the Admin Dashboard, click Organization > Centers.
  2. Click the name of the center for which you want to change the email sender name.
  3. On the Edit Center window, click the Settings tab.
  4. Under Settings, click the General tab.
  5. In the Email Sender Name box, enter the sender name that you want the emails from your center to show.

Customizing the Outgoing Email Address

Follow these steps to change the email address of the outgoing emails of your organization or center:

  1. Send an email to Support (support@zenoti.com) with the details listed below. Zenoti team updates the internal records to reflect this change.
      1. For entire organization
        • Your organization name
        • The outgoing email address (From address) that you want to use
      2. For a specific center
        • Your organization name
        • Name of the center for which you want to change the email address
        • The outgoing email address (From address) that you want to use
Do not use a personal or free email address since many email providers implement authentication policies that negatively affect emails that use a free email domain.
  2. Go ahead and get your DNS records updated to validate Zenoti to send emails on your behalf. This is to ensure email providers do not block emails that have a different From email address and the originating domain (zenoti.com). To do so,  contact your DNS hosting company and ask them to add the following SPF information to your DNS records.
    v=spf1 include:spf.mandrillapp.com include:sendgrid.net ~all
Note that SPF entry needs to be updated in the domain that provides your From email address. You only need a single SPF entry in your DNS record for customizing the From email address at organization and center levels.
  3. After Zenoti updates internal records with the new From email address and your DNS records are updated with SPF entry, emails sent from your Zenoti account reflect the customized outgoing email address.
