Support Multiple Languages On Your Webstore

 

Your web-store’s front end can display multiple languages. If your customers are in Spain, show your web-store in Spanish. Or, if you require multi-language support, then let your visitors choose the language they prefer.

In order for you to localize your webstore, you’ll need to translate all your sale items, including services, memberships, products, gift cards, campaigns, service and product categories, and packages into the desired languages. This article walks you through the steps required to translate these items.

This article assumes that you have already set up your web-store.

To Set Up Language Support For Your Web-store:

1) Ensure you are in the Organization view

2) Click on the Admin link

3) Navigate to Organizations > Catalog

4) Expand the Content to Display folder 

5) In the Languages section select the languages your webstore will support

Note: If you do not see the language that you require, contact support. We may be able to quickly add your local language to our list of supported languages. 

6) In the Select Default Language drop down box, select the language that should display by default

7) Click Save

To Translate Web-store Menu Labels and Headers:

1) Navigate to Organizations > Catalog > Content To Display

2) Scroll down to the section Update Menu Labels And Page Headers

3) Click the Translate button at the bottom of the section

4) In the pop-up, you will see an accordion folder for each language you plan to support in your webstore. Expand one of the                           accordion folders.

5) Enter the translated menu labels and page headers in the appropriate language

6) Repeat the previous step to translate the menu labels and headers in each language

7) Click Save

To Translate Policies Displayed In The Webstore:

1) Navigate to Organizations > Catalog

2) Expand the folder Headers, Banner & Footer

3) Click the Translate button

4) In the popup box that opens, you will need to enter translated text for each language you intend to support in the webstore. Expand the       accordion folder for the first language.

5) Enter translated text for each field including:

a) Header (HTML)

b) Top Banner (HTML)

c) Bottom Banner (HTML)

d) Footer Banner (HTML)

e) Cancellation Policy

f) Refund Policy

g) Terms of Use

h) Privacy Policy

i) Security Policy

j) About Us

6) Repeat the previous two steps to translate text into each language that you intend to support.

7) Click Save

To Translate Your Service Menu:

1) Ensure you are in the Organization view

2) Click on the Admin link

3) In the Admin Dashboard click on Services

4) Click on the name of the service you want to edit

5) In the General tab, click on the Translate icon next to the Service Name field

6) In the popup box that opens, expand the accordion folder for the language you wish to support

7) Enter the translated Service Name and Description for the service in each local language that your webstore supports

8) Repeat the previous two steps to translate the service name and description for each language you wish to support

9) Click Save 

 To Translate Your Memberships:

1) Ensure you are in the Organization view

2) Click on the Marketing tab

3) In the Marketing Dashboard click on Memberships

4) Click on the name of the membership you want to edit

5) In the General tab click on the Translate icon next to the Membership Name field

6) In the pop up box that opens, expand the accordion folder for the language you wish to support

7) Enter the translated Membership Name, Description and Terms & Conditions in each local language that your webstore supports

8) Repeat the previous two steps to translate the Membership Name, Description and Terms & Conditions for each language you wish to         support

9) Click Save

To Translate Your Campaigns:

1) Ensure you are in the Organization view

2) Click on the Marketing tab

3) In the Marketing Dashboard click on Media or Email/Text Message

4) Click on the name of the campaign  you want to edit

5) In the General tab click on the Translate icon next to the Campaign Name field

6) In the pop up box that opens, expand the accordion folder for the language you wish to support

7) Enter the translated Campaign Name and Description in each local language that your webstore supports

8) Repeat the previous two steps to translate the Campaign Name and Description for each language you wish to support

9) Click Save

Note: You can translate campaigns from the Center view as well.

To Translate Your Packages:

1) Ensure you are in the Organization view

2) Click on the Admin link

3) In the Admin Dashboard click on Packages

4) Click on the name of the package you want to edit

5) In the General tab, click on the Translate icon next to the Package Name field

6) In the pop up box that opens, expand the accordion folder for the language you wish to support

7) Enter the translated Package Name, Description and Terms & Conditions in each local language that your webstore supports

8) Repeat the previous two steps to translate the Package name, Description and Terms & Conditions for each language you wish to support

9) Click Save

To Translate Your Gift Cards:

1) Ensure you are in the Organization view

2) Click on the Admin link

3) In the Admin Dashboard click on Gift Card Templates

4) Click on the name of the gift card template you want to edit

5) In the General tab click on the Translate icon next to the Name field

6) In the pop up box that opens, expand the accordion folder for the language you wish to support

7) Enter the translated Gift Card Name and Description in each local language that your webstore supports

8) Repeat the previous two steps to translate the Gift card name and description for each language you wish to support

9) Click Save

To Translate Your Products:

1) Ensure you are in the Organization view

2) Click on the Admin link

3) In the Admin Dashboard click on Products

4) Click on the name of the product you want to edit

5) In the General tab click on the Translate icon next to the Product field

6) In the pop up box that opens, expand the accordion folder for the language you wish to support

7) Enter the translated Product Name and Description in each local language that your webstore supports

8) Repeat the previous two steps to translate the Product name and description for each language you wish to support

9) Click Save

 

To Translate Your Product Categories:

1) Ensure you are in the Organization view

2) Click on the Admin link

3) In the Admin Dashboard click on Products under the Categories section

4) Click on the name of the product category you want to edit

5) In the General tab click on the Translate icon next to the Display Name in Digital Catalog field

6) In the pop up box that opens, expand the accordion folder for the language you wish to support

7) Enter the translated Product Category Name and Description in each local language that your webstore supports

8) Repeat the previous two steps to translate the product category name and description for each language you wish to support

9) Click Save

To Translate Your Service Categories:

1) Ensure you are in the Organization view

2) Click on the Admin link

3) In the Admin Dashboard click on Services under the Categories section

4) Click on the name of the service category you want to edit

5) In the General tab click on the Translate icon next to the Display Name in Digital Catalog field

6) In the pop up box that opens, expand the accordion folder for the language you wish to support

7) Enter the translated  Service Category Name and Description in each local language that your webstore supports

8) Repeat the previous two steps to translate the service category name and description for each language you wish to support

9) Click Save
