How to Freeze a Membership

Available only to Marketing Managers, Managers, Zonal Managers, and Owners. Learn about Zenoti Permissions.

 Follow these steps to freeze a membership:

  1. In the appointment book search box, start typing the name of the guest.
  2. On the matching guest record, click Profile to open the guest's profile. 
  3. Click the Memberships tab.
  4. From the list of memberships, click the name of the membership you want to freeze.
  5. In the Freeze From field, select the date on which you want to freeze the membership.
  6. In the Unfreeze On field, do one of the following:
    • To keep an open ended freeze period without a specific date to unfreeze, select Manual.
    • To select a specific date to automatically unfreeze the membership, select the other option, then click the Calendar icon to select the date.
  7. Depending on whether or not your members can use their benefits during the freeze, select a Freeze Type option: 
    Option Result
    Freeze benefits and shift next payment by freeze period
    • The next payment date is moved for the number days that is membership is suspended.
    • Members cannot use their accrued benefits and membership discounts during the freeze period.
    Allow guests to use benefits and skip payments in freeze period
    • The next payment date is moved for the number days that is membership is suspended.
    • Members can still  use their accrued benefits and membership discounts during the freeze period.
  8. In the Comments box, type any helpful notes about the suspension.
